From the mountains to the coast, from the city to the valley—and everything in between—Oregon is full of great places for dreamers, visitors and locals alike. As Oregon grows, so does the state’s Tourism and Hospitality Industry.  With $8.3 billion in direct visitor spending, the impact of tourism can be felt in every corner of our state.  Nearly 89,000 people work in Oregon’s tourism industry and the number of new jobs continues to grow every year.  Last year, more than 1,000 new jobs in 21 counties were directly supported by the tourism and hospitality industry.

With statewide partners, Travel Oregon inspires more travel in the state, providing visitors endless opportunities to take in all that is Oregon.  Last year, visitors who stayed overnight in hotels, motels, vacation rentals and bed & breakfasts accounted for one-half of all visitor spending.  These were not only Oregonians, but domestic and international travelers as well!   It is not unusual for our out-of-state visitors to return for future visits.  Some will move here to permanently take part in our Oregon lifestyle, even relocating businesses and employees.

The "Oregon. We Love Dreamers." campaign celebrates Oregon as a place where individuals can turn their dreams into reality - to create the next Nike, Widmer, Columbia Sportswear, Moonstruck, Harry & David or Alpenrose.  We're home to world class golf courses, award-winning wineries, bicycle manufacturing, international biotechnology research, and architectural experts leading the nation in green building.

This is Oregon –  a state that embraces sustainability and innovative solutions for enhancing our homes, businesses, communities and lives.

With a focus on quality customer service and pride in their product, Oregon’s Tourism and Hospitality Industry is making Oregon a better place to visit and live.
