How much do guests donate at participating lodging properties?
Guest donations depend on the model that each business decides to implement. Options include, but are not limited to:
- Businesses add a small donation to their checkout process ($1 to $5) and allow guests to opt-out if they choose.
- Businesses donate a small amount ($1 to $5) per guest night and ask their guests to provide a match.
- Businesses encourage guests to opt-in to the program.
- Businesses raise money for the fund through creative add-ons.
Can guests donate more if they wish?
Travelers are welcome to provide additional donations to the fund during or after their stays using our easy online donation form.
Will guests get a tax deduction for their donation?
Donations of $25 or more will receive a tax receipt by mail.
