Oregon Tourism Commission Approves Strategic Plan


Travel Oregon’s 2017-2019 Strategic Plan was adopted by the Oregon Tourism Commission at their public meeting held on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 in Bend.

This biennial strategic plan was developed with extensive involvement from Oregon’s travel and tourism industry, community leaders, members of the Tourism Commission, the Travel Oregon team and others. Input, derived from an industrywide survey, more than two dozen town halls, a public hearing and other meetings held throughout the state, was combined with current industry research on global and domestic trends and forecasts.

The plan was designed to give our partners a substantive look at the strategic priorities that will guide Travel Oregon for the next two years and provides context for Travel Oregon’s strategic imperatives, initiatives and measures. “It was our goal to make the plan relevant to everyone engaged in the travel and tourism industry and we’re confident that was achieved. The vitality and viability of the travel and tourism industry is a critical asset for all Oregonians, now more than ever,” said Todd Davidson, Travel Oregon CEO.
