Oregon Wine Country Plates Matching Grant Success Story

As a result of funding through the Oregon Wine Country Plates Matching Grants Program, the Eola-Amity Hills Winegrowers Association designed, fabricated and installed visitor way-finding and entryway signs for their agricultural tourism area. An accompanying visitor guidebook was produced for the American Viticultural Area (AVA) as well.

The association’s partnerships with local businesses across Polk and Yamhill counties helped them leverage the grant funds to establish more than 40 individual vineyard and winery visitor signs at privately-owned businesses. The association also collaborated with the city of Amity to establish co-branded, visitor way-finding signage in and around the city. This is part of a larger project to upgrade and enhance the visibility of the Eola-Amity Hills wine region to visitors.
