Trade Shows and Events
The Travel Oregon Global Sales team attends multiple international and domestic travel trade and consumer shows each year. Tradeshows allow the sales team to meet with travel trade professionals, tour operators, media contacts and airline representatives. The majority of the shows have one-on-one appointments. Several of the shows have a consumer component where the public is welcome. Qualified leads from these tradeshows are distributed to the Regional Destination Marketing Organizations and Oregon Tour and Travel Alliance.
Travel Oregon also participates in annual sales missions in Vancouver B.C., Toronto, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Asia, New York and Los Angeles.
In addition to attending trade shows throughout the year, each spring, Oregon’s travel and tourism industry comes together at the Oregon Governor’s Conference on Tourism. We gather to educate, share and develop new ways to create the best Oregon experience possible for our visitors and the industry itself.
