The Northeastern Oregon Bicycle Tourism Studio took place in 2015 and focused on communities of Northeastern Oregon, including La Grande.
This tourism studio program was developed in response to the destination’s desire to develop high-quality bicycle tourism based on regional assets.
Northeastern Oregon Bicycle Tourism Studio highlights:
55 local tourism stakeholders and residents participated in a one-day workshop in October 2015 in La Grande. Workshop topics included Community Visioning, Local Asset Identification, Rural Tourism Marketing and Action Planning. The Northeastern Oregon community received a $5,000 Tourism Studio Matching Grant from Travel Oregon to develop the Bike It! map in 2017.
