Volunteer Stewardship Experiences: Key Learnings Summary Report
A guide for integrating volunteer stewardship experiences into visitor itineraries.
Travel Oregon’s 10-Year Strategic Vision focuses much of our work on a stewardship approach. In response to increased industry interest around the topic of volunteer stewardship and to capture learnings from recent projects, Travel Oregon created the Volunteer Stewardship Experiences: Key Learnings Summary Report. This report provides context, case studies and best practice recommendations for organizations and businesses that are interested in supporting or developing visitor itineraries that include volunteer stewardship experiences; the report directly pulls learnings from projects such as the recently completed McKenzie Regenerative Travel project (sponsored by Travel Oregon). The target audience for this report includes, but is not limited to R/DMOs, tour operator and guide businesses, stewardship nonprofits and land managers.
