The Oregon Food Trails program was developed by Travel Oregon in 2018 to help connect visitors with Oregon’s agricultural lands, locally produced goods and the Oregonians that produce them. The program helps Oregon communities package and showcase their local culinary and agricultural assets in an inspirational format for visitors.
This summer, Travel Oregon worked with Oregon Business Magazine to produce a video showcasing the Oregon Food Trails program by sharing local perspectives from participants of the East Gorge Food Trail . Two farms along the trail, Sandoz Farm in The Dalles and Lopez Farm in Mosier, provided a vibrant backdrop for interviews with food trail participants Eileen White of the Dalles Farmers Market and Nate Stranz of Mosier Company Restaurant, who highlight how the East Gorge Food Trail has positively impacted the communities of Mosier, The Dalles and Dufur.
