Recognizing the 51st anniversary of the Wild & Scenic Rivers Act, Senator Ron Wyden is asking Oregonians to nominate new rivers and streams for protection through the Wild & Scenic national designation. The proposed new rivers would be part of the Senator’s upcoming Wild and Scenic Rivers legislations that will build upon the legislation Congress passed in February that added more than 250 miles of Wild and Scenic Rivers in Oregon. Currently, Oregon has 2,173 river miles designated at Wild and Scenic Rivers. View current designated rivers and streams here.
Nominations should be sent by email to rivers@wyden.senate.gov by Jan. 20, 2020 for consideration by the Senator.
