The mission of Travel Oregon is: “A better life for Oregonians through strong, sustainable local economies.” Travel Oregon has established a program to make grant awards available to “tourism promotion agencies for wine and culinary tourism promotion.”

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE – Oregon Wine Country License Plates

The Oregon Tourism Commission is seeking public input on a rule amendment related to ORS 805.274, state law that created the Oregon Wine Country license plates.  A public hearing will be held on February 7, 2017 in Newberg, Oregon to consider the draft amendment for possible adoption.  Interested parties are encouraged to provide input and may do so by emailing testimony, submitting testimony in writing by mail or by provide testimony at the public hearing in person.  Written testimony provided by mail or email must be received on Feb. 1, 2017 by 5:00 p.m. to ensure inclusion for Commission review.  Public testimony at the hearing will be taken based on a sign-up sheet provided at the hearing location and may be limited to three minutes per person.

The public hearing will begin no sooner than 9:00 a. m. on February 7, 2017.  For those wanting to provide testimony in person, the Public Hearing will take place at the Allison Inn & Spa located at 2525 Allison Lane, Newberg, Oregon.
