Q: What is the conference format?
A: The conference will be fully virtual for attendees and free of cost to register.
Q: What is the conference agenda?
A: The agenda is still a work in progress but will likely include the following: An industry awards ceremony that follows the June Commission Meeting on Tuesday, June 15. Wednesday, June 16 will feature two keynote/general sessions and four breakout sessions focusing on different topics that align with Travel Oregon’s strategic plan.
Q: Is there any chance attendees will be able to attend in-person?
A: Due to COVID-19 precautions and guidelines around in-person meetings and events, we do not anticipate any opportunity for registrants to attend in-person. Once deemed safe by the Center for Disease Control and the Oregon Health Authority, we look forward to seeing you in-person at a future Travel Oregon gathering.
Q: Where/when will the next annual Governor’s Conference occur?
A: The 2022 event will be announced at the end of the 2021 conference.
Q: What if I don’t know my 2020 Rural Tourism Conference registration type (credit card, invoice, complimentary code)?
A: Please email events@traveloregon.com to retrieve your Rural Tourism Conference 2020 registration type to know if you should be expecting a refund. Those who received a complimentary registration will not receive a financial refund.
Q: Will all sessions be recorded and available at a later date?
A: Yes, all sessions will be recorded and available on the Travel Oregon industry website in late June.
Q: Will scholarships be offered?
A: As the 2021 conference is free, no scholarships will be offered.
Q: I am interested in sponsoring the 2021 conference. Whom should I contact?
A: Please contact events@traveloregon.com with your interest and we’ll be sure to reply to discuss.
Q: I am interested in an exhibitor booth at the 2021 conference. Whom should I contact?
A: Unfortunately, given the virtual nature of the 2021 conference, we will not have in-person exhibitors and will not host a virtual exhibitor show.
