Europe
The typical European traveler has approximately six weeks of vacation a year, not including national holidays. The U.S. continues to be a “dream destination” for many Europeans, and, with a regular non-stop Delta flight from Amsterdam to Portland, Oregon is an ideal destination for the European market.
Currently Travel Oregon has representation in the United Kingdom and Germany — two of our more mature markets — and also in France, The Netherlands and Scandinavia.
Through this representation, Travel Oregon will continue to work with all levels of the buying chain. We’ll place special emphasis on media relations and joint marketing activities with tour operators. Travel Oregon will continue to participate in key events — like World Travel Market and ITB as well as annual educational sales trainings and client and media events — to create more awareness and loyalty for the Oregon product. Travel Oregon works closely with the Visit USA committees in all markets as well.
Travel Oregon has destination guides in English, French and German. The Oregon Scenic Byway guide has been translated into French. Travel Oregon has Facebook and Twitter accounts in Germany, France and The Netherlands and Twitter in the United Kingdom. For more information on these resources, check out the links below.
