Looking for guidance on how state and local policies affect culinary or agritourism activities in Oregon? We offer practical, plain-language support to help you understand applicable rules, identify opportunities, and navigate questions that come up as your operation grows—whether you’re hosting food experiences, selling local products, or exploring agritourism uses on working land.
By completing this request form for technical assistance, you will be connected with Erika Polmar, who has worked at the intersection of culinary, agritourism, and small business policy for more than 20 years. Erika has first hand experience navigating this complex landscape as the Founder of Plate & Pitchfork and now serves as Executive Director of the Independent Restaurant Coalition. She supports independent food and beverage businesses across a range of issues—from land use and licensing to supply chains, workforce, and market access. Whether you are exploring an agritourism opportunity, navigating local requirements, or looking to strengthen connections between farms, producers, and restaurants, she can offer guidance informed by both policy work and industry experience.
Once your request is received, Erika will follow up directly to learn more about your specific needs and help answer your questions. During the first consultation (up to 1 hour in length) Erika will discuss your individual needs, answer questions, and provide recommendations. Afterwards, she will provide a follow-up email with notes from your consultation, links to resources and any additional information. You can then choose to have one additional consultation meeting (up to 1 hour in length) and/or (up to 3 hours) of dedicated work time from Erika, should this be useful to your specific needs and identified/agreed upon with her during the initial consultation.
