Four Rivers Culinary & Agritourism Studio
The Four Rivers Studio was developed in response to the destination's desire to develop and further enhance existing, high quality culinary and agritourism experiences based on regional assets.
This program focused on the Eastern Oregon communities of Ontario, Nyssa, Vale and the surrounding area.
Four Rivers Culinary & Agritourism Studio Key Outcomes:
- 23 local tourism stakeholders and residents participated in a two-day workshop April 9-10, 2018. Attendees learned about culinary and agritourism asset identification, qualities of successful agritourism experiences, market trends, state tourism resources and the state’s 10-year agritourism development vision. Workshop notes, presentations, outreach materials and other resources can be viewed on the Four Rivers Culinary and Agritourism Studio Resources page.
- The Four Rivers community worked with Travel Oregon to publish a 3 Days of Four Rivers Flavors trip idea in January 2019 on TravelOregon.com to highlight the local assets and opportunities that were discussed during the workshops.
- The Four Rivers community received a $5,000 Tourism Studio Matching Grant from Travel Oregon to develop the Four Rivers Farm and Garden Trail in January 2019.
