Biking on Mt. Hood
Clackamas County
Tourism Experience Studio
The Clackamas County Bicycle Tourism Studio was a partnership between Travel Oregon and Clackamas County Tourism and Cultural Affairs and included the communities of Canby, Estacada, Government Camp, Molalla, Oregon City, Sandy, the Villages of Mt. Hood, West Linn and Wilsonville.
The communities had existing strengths in bicycle tourism, including several state designated scenic bikeways, and the studio helped attendees develop a common vision for the future and operationalize their next steps.
Clackamas County Bicycle Tourism Studio highlights:
- 153 local tourism stakeholders and residents participated in eight workshops between November 2011 and March 2012. Workshop topics included Local Asset Identification, Bicycle Tourism Development, Statewide and Regional Resources and Destination Building. Workshop notes, presentations, outreach materials and other resources can be viewed on the Clackamas County Bicycle Tourism Studio Resources page.
