Are you interested in developing dark sky experiences in your destination, but not sure where to begin? Whether you are looking for technical guidance for a light inventory, interested in hosting a star party in your destination, or just looking to understand how to get involved in this space, we are happy to help and have contracted with dark sky expert Dawn Nilson to provide free consultations to the tourism and outdoor recreation industry. Dawn has 15 years of experience advocating to preserve the pristine night sky and has been sharing the awe of the starry landscape with communities in Oregon and across the west for over two decades.

By completing the form below, you will be put in touch directly with Dawn, who will reach out to you within two weeks to schedule a one-on-one Zoom or phone consultation. During the first consultation (up to 1 hour in length) Dawn will discuss your individual needs, answer questions, and provide recommendations. Afterwards, Dawn will provide a follow-up email with notes from your consultation, links to resources and any additional information. You can then choose to have one additional consultation meeting (up to 1 hour in length) and/or (up to 3 hours) of dedicated work time from Dawn, should this be useful to your specific needs and identified/agreed upon with her during the initial consultation.
