Interactive Marketing

The proliferation of broadband internet access and the connectivity afforded by mobile devices has fundamentally changed how consumers behave.  Today, the Internet has evolved from its initial role as a “utilitarian” tool used to shop for the cheapest airfare or check email into a complex life-management tool.

The goal of our digital marketing efforts is to engage and interact with consumers in the Oregon brand and use technology to differentiate Oregon from its competitors.  The anchor of all of our digital programs is the flagship site, www.TravelOregon.com.  With more than 6,000 pages of content and 30,000 items of data on everything from events to attractions and outdoor recreation to restaurants, TravelOregon.com is a digital experience that combines rich information, planning tools and stunning imagery to showcase the romance of Oregon.

We’ve also expanded our digital channels and they include:

- Travel Oregon E-newsletter:  Keeps Oregon top-of-mind through feature stories and editorials, unique escape ideas, suggested itineraries and special promotions and contests.

- Travel Oregon Blog:  The blog is a a medium for staff, partners, friends and consumers to convey their Oregon experiences through personal stories and narrative enhanced by the presence of rich imagery and authentic video clips.

- GoSeeOregon.com Effort on our part to interact and engage in a dialogue with consumers and is best described as “Amazon.com meets Ebay meets TripAdvisor.”  - Write reviews, rate content, upload vacation photos and interact with other “Oregon enthusiasts."
