Insuring Your Business

If your company interacts with the public you should have some form of insurance. Liability insurance (at least $500,000 per occurrence) is required for all registered Outfitter Guides. However, a travel agency will require a different level of insurance than a whitewater tour operator will. It is important to choose the insurance best suited to your operations in order to protect you and your customers.

It is recommended to seek out an insurance broker who has experience working with outdoor adventure and travel clients. Be sure to read the fine print to make sure the activities your guests participate in are covered by your insurance.
