Wheel the World Toolkit
Travel Oregon has partnered with Wheel the World to make our state the first to achieve a statewide "Accessibility Verified" designation. This is a monumental step in our commitment to inclusive tourism, opening Oregon to a broader audience of travelers.
Campaign Overview
Travel Oregon and Wheel the World will launch a comprehensive marketing and communications plan on September 22. The campaign is designed for maximum impact and includes:
- Public Relations Focus: The initial push will be heavily driven by public relations to secure high-impact media placements across national, regional, and local outlets. We will be jointly pitching broadcast, print, and digital media, with a dual focus on mainstream news and publications dedicated to accessibility.
- Targeted Digital Campaigns: Travel Oregon’s marketing will target key West Coast audiences through digital channels. Our campaign will promote a wide range of accessible activities in each region, directing traffic to specially curated itineraries on TravelOregon.com.
- Strategic Partner Marketing: Simultaneously, Wheel the World will activate its own marketing efforts to its extensive subscriber base. This will include launching a weekly regional video series that highlights bookable, accessible experiences available directly on their platform.
- Content and SEO Strategy: We will be leveraging the “Accessibility Verified” designation to create new, optimized content that improves our search engine rankings for accessible travel queries, driving organic traffic to our site.
This partnership is a cornerstone of our strategic plan to drive economic growth by attracting new traveler segments and solidifying Oregon’s reputation as a leader in accessible, inclusive tourism.
