Food Systems and Tourism Learning Community
This collaborative space aims to bring together Oregon small farms, extension services, and food system organizations with local and statewide tourism partners to:
- Provide education and awareness of how tourism organizations can engage in food system development efforts in their communities.
- Foster connectivity and collaboration between Oregon’s tourism industry and food systems stakeholders in Oregon.
- Learn from case studies of successful food systems and tourism collaborative projects in and outside of Oregon.
- Share key updates, milestones, and learnings from food systems projects and initiatives across the state.
Collaboration between these two industries offers the opportunity to elevate local food through tourism efforts while strengthening the roots of those who feed Oregon communities.
Travel Oregon is committed to convening the Food Systems & Tourism Learning Community 3-4 times per year, with meetings taking place primarily over Zoom with occasional in-person opportunities. Meetings will be announced in the Travel Oregon industry newsletter at least two weeks in advance. Sign up for the newsletter here.
Recordings of Learning Community meetings, notes and other resources can be accessed on the Food Systems and Tourism Learning Community group on Basecamp.
