This collaborative space aims to bring together small farms, extension services, and food system organizations from across Oregon with local and statewide tourism partners. Collaboration between these two industries is paramount and offers the opportunity to elevate local food through tourism efforts while strengthening the roots of those who feed Oregon communities.

Join the Oregon Dark Sky Tourism Learning Community for a special pre-conference event at OMSI’s Kendall Planetarium on Sunday evening, April 13 from 6-8:30 p.m. Connect with others in the tourism industry interested in preserving and promoting Oregon’s dark skies, learn about the latest developments and opportunities for dark sky tourism in Oregon, and expand your knowledge through a special program celebrating Oregon’s magnificent dark skies curated by planetarium director Jim Todd.
Heavy appetizers and refreshments will be provided during a networking reception from 6-6:45 p.m., followed by programming in the planetarium. Registration for this event is separate from the Governor’s Conference and space is limited. Reserve your spot.
