Leading by Example: Lessons in Race and Antiracism

On Thursday, June 11, U.S. Travel Association National Chair Elliott L. Ferguson II, president and CEO of Destination DC, will lead an important discussion about race and racism in the travel industry.
Recent events around the country have been a grave reminder that the United States has a long way to go toward racial equality. As leaders in the travel industry, we have a responsibility to challenge our own prejudices, understand diverse perspectives and elevate new voices, and create a better and more just future for all Americans.

Elliott will be joined by other industry leaders to provide their perspectives and experiences in the travel industry and have a candid discussion on how we all can combat racial inequality, commit to developing a diverse workforce at all levels, and take our industry toward a more inclusive environment.
